Transaction Process Flow for Credit Card Payments
(Recurring and Straight Payments)
This document outlines the detailed process flow for credit card transactions, encompassing both straight payments and recurring payments, tailored to the standards and operational requirements of merchants in the Philippines. It is designed to provide transparency to our customers, partners, and stakeholders regarding how transactions are handled from initiation to completion. The outlined processes ensure security, efficiency, and clarity, adhering to local industry standards and best practices.
Step 1: Customer Selection
- The customer will choose the product they are interested in humedit.ph website and Straightly book a demo or Contact Sales.
- Account Executive or Sales will take over to discuss the selected product with the prospect. If satisfied and confirmed by the prospect, the Account Executive will initiate the purchase, send the MOA, as well as the Payment Gateway.
Step 2: Payment Details Submission
- The customer enters their credit card details, including:
- Cardholder Name
- Card Number
- Expiration Date
- CVV/CVC Code
- For recurring payments, the customer acknowledges the subscription terms and authorizes recurring charges.
Step 3: Payment Authorization
- The entered credit card information is encrypted and transmitted securely to the payment gateway.
- The payment gateway communicates with the issuing bank to verify the card details and authorize the transaction.
Step 4: Payment Processing
- For straight payments:
- Upon successful authorization, the payment amount is immediately deducted, and a confirmation email is sent to the customer.
- For recurring payments:
- The initial payment is processed, and the system schedules future payments based on the agreed billing cycle (e.g., monthly, quarterly).
Step 5: Payment Confirmation
- A transaction receipt or invoice is automatically generated and sent to the customer via email.
- For recurring payments, customers are notified in advance of upcoming charges.
Step 6: Handling Payment Failures
- If a transaction fails (e.g., insufficient funds, expired card):
- The system retries the payment [X times, e.g., up to 3 times] over a defined grace period.
- The customer is notified via email or SMS and prompted to update their payment details.
Step 7: Refunds and Disputes
- Refunds for eligible transactions are processed in accordance with the company's Cancellation Policy.
- Customers can raise disputes through our customer service channels for resolution.
Step 8: Cancellation of Recurring Payments
- Customers can cancel recurring payments by following the Cancellation Policy guidelines.
- Upon cancellation, no further charges will be made, and a confirmation email is sent to the customer.
